When Barry Bonds hit Home Run #756 should he have been accepted as the new Home Run King in Major League Baseball? Was he completely honest in his answers about using enhancement related items? Should his new record be highlighted with an asterisk? He has broken the record but the question will remain, is he the "true record holder".

Maris hit 61."Big Mac" hit 70 and then Bonds hit 73. Records are made to be broken but lets break them using the same rules and apply those rules to all players. I think if Bonds is given credit as being a new Home Run Champ that Shoe Less Joe Jackson and Pete Rose should be pardoned as well. After all Ty Cobb's behavior survived the challenges of his time and he was selected as one of the first players to enter the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. It seems like double standards are being given to certain selected players and that's just not right! What's good for one is good for all! Hank Aaron, Roger Maris and even the great Babe Ruth were true champions of their era. Will Barry Bonds be the true champ of his era? What do you think?
